After painting for
many years prior, Paula has been exploring relief printmaking for the past 10 years. With an interest in drawing,
she was naturally drawn to the linear qualities of woodcut and linoleum prints. Her background in painting and love of color
lead her to learn the techniques of reduction color printmaking, a technique developed by Picasso.
More recently,
Paula has introduced hand papermaking and pulp painting into her prints. Letterpress books are also a new medium of expression.
In 2004 she was part of the “New American Talent Nineteenth Exhibition” at Arthouse in Austin, Tx.
